Wade Brannon, President & CEO
Wade Brannon has a rich history in business. He began his first enterprise in college which he later sold. He received his BA in economics from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
Brannon’s first experience with franchising became a remarkable success story. During his time as Senior Vice President of Heavenly Ham, Brannon helped lead the company from one retail store to over 230 locations in the United States. Their business acumen was noted by Entrepreneur Magazine, which ranked Heavenly Ham the No. 1 franchise in its category for 10 consecutive years before the company was sold to HoneyBaked Ham.
With more than three decades of experience in the franchise world, Brannon knows what works. He knows the importance of customer service, franchise support, brand consistency and marketing. His expertise has guided Pigtails & Crewcuts to become one of the fastest growing children’s haircut franchises in the United States, with Entrepreneur Magazine naming it to the Franchise 500 list for five consecutive years. In addition, Parents Magazine named Pigtails & Crewcuts one of the Top 10 Chains for Kid Birthday Parties in 2010.
Michelle Holliman has extensive experience in the franchise arena. Since 1997, she has worked for the parent companies of brands such as Heavenly Ham, HoneyBaked Ham, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Planet Smoothie, and P.J.’s Coffee.
Holliman has served as Pigtails & Crewcuts’ Director of Franchise Development since 2005. She works closely with franchise owners, walking them through the business development process and providing training in areas such as accounting, operations, and vendor relations and distribution. In addition, Holliman evaluates prospective franchisees to determine if Pigtails & Crewcuts ownership is the right investment for them.
Theresa Underwood has more than 25 years of experience in the childcare and franchise industries. Her areas of expertise include business management and franchise support. Prior to joining Pigtails & Crewcuts, she served as the Director of Franchise Support and Operations for a childcare franchising company, where she assisted franchise owners with business, operations, marketing, and personnel issues.
As the Director of Franchise Support at Pigtails & Crewcuts, Underwood works directly with franchisees across the country to ensure consistency throughout the brand. In addition to providing operational and retail support and training, she also helps salon owners develop local strategies and improve customer service.
The Support Team
Ben Rigel has a background in the automotive industry as an Assistant General Manager and Business Support Specialist. Holding these roles, Rigel obtained experience with financial documents, integrating and opening new locations, developing operational procedures, operational auditing, and providing training to new Assistant and General Managers.
Rigel has served as a Pigtails & Crewcuts Franchise Support Specialist since January 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Financial Services.
Karen DiPaulo came to Pigtails & Crewcuts with a background in the childcare industry, managing numerous centers. She has experience managing day-to-day operations, marketing, retention of families and staff, financials and budgets, staffing issues, and ordering of supplies. She also owned and managed her own business, Dips Ice Cream Parlor, for a number of years.
DiPaulo has served as a Pigtails & Crewcuts Franchise Support Specialist since March 2015.
Hannah Swanson has a passion for working with children. Her background is in the childcare industry where she taught for five years as the lead Preschool teacher at a well-known, accredited school in the metro-Atlanta area. She has served as the Receptionist and Executive Assistant at Pigtails & Crewcuts since 2015.
Swanson also works closely with the Franchise Development team and enjoys working with potential franchise prospects who are interested in learning more about the Pigtails & Crewcuts concept.
Rock Paper Scissors was brought on by Pigtails & Crewcuts in November 2016 to refresh the Brand and help establish Pigtails & Crewcuts as the number one children’s hair salon in the industry, as well as take over all aspects of national advertising.
Since its foundation in 1986, Rock Paper Scissors has created strong brands and marketing programs that sustain long-term results for their clients through the integration of the team’s experience, creativity, and technology. The team is made of up of creative generators whose goal is to develop fresh ideas based on solid business sense while inspiring growth through creativity.
Rock Paper Scissors has served clients in a wide variety of industries, including franchise marketing for both the childcare and retail industries.
