At Pigtails & Crewcuts, family is at the heart of everything we do. As a former Special Education Teacher and a mother to four boys, franchisee Dalia Wolf is no stranger to the rewarding feeling of working with children and their parents.
As we celebrate National Family Month, she is reflecting on how her Pigtails & Crewcuts location has enabled her to make a difference for local families over the past 12 years.
A Mission That Never Goes Out of Style
Ever since she can remember, Dalia has loved working in family-friendly environments. During her previous jobs in the local school district, she became fascinated by her students’ different personalities. She quickly learned how important it is that each child receive care that is just as unique as they are.
From different needs to likes and interests, she got a firsthand look at how adding a little extra fun and flair to everyday activities can make them easier and more enjoyable.
This is a philosophy that the Pigtails & Crewcuts franchise is based on and is just one reason Dalia saw a world of opportunity in opening a salon designed specifically with kids and families in mind.
From Stay-at-Home Mom to Mompreneur
With four young boys at home, she decided that it was time to start her own business. Coming from a family of several small business owners, she craved the balance and flexibility entrepreneurship offered.
From the low entry cost to the proven business model and comprehensive training, Pigtails & Crewcuts had everything she needed to take her passion to the next level.
“I knew there was a gap in the community when it came to serving kids and families and I wanted to help fill it,” she explained. “I saw an opportunity to support families in a seemingly routine event that in reality, can be quite stressful.”
Life As a Pigtails & Crewcuts Franchisee
For Dalia, it was an easy decision to choose Pigtails & Crewcuts over any other franchisor. For starters, there was enormous market potential.
“Families are growing every day, so there will always be more in need of our services,” Dalia said.
She was also thankful for the invaluable support she received from the Pigtails & Crewcuts corporate team, who set her up with everything she needed to achieve success as a new salon owner- from location scouting to inventory, salon design and technology.
“They held my hand when I needed it and gave me room to be creative and entrepreneurial when I was ready,” she said.
Today, Dalia continues to run her Cedar Park, Texas salon and looks forward to serving even more kids and families as they grow or move into the area.
