Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids is now open in Prosper, Texas, and ready to offer children and families in the community fun and memorable haircut experiences. This is the franchise’s tenth location in Texas and the first of its kind in the Prosper area, according to owners Cindy and Dale Moore.
“Prosper is really an underserved market when it comes to businesses that cater to families with children,” the couple shares, noting that the rapid growth and influx of families with young children moving to the community made the choice to locate their second Pigtails & Crewcuts salon here a no-brainer.
The duo opened their first Pigtails & Crewcuts salon in Plano in March of 2020 just before the COVID-19 pandemic turned the world upside down. While they had to close the salon for a period of time due to the pandemic, once they reopened, the salon quickly gained a stellar reputation with their customers that continues today. “We’ve ingrained in our staff the importance of listening to and taking care of our customers,” Dale shares, noting they have many five-star Google reviews to the Plano salon’s credit. The Moores feel that the experience of opening their first salon and the standards they have set not only customer service, but cleanliness, great haircuts, and a kid-friendly environment will help them as they begin to meet and serve customers in Prosper.
Families can expect to be greeted by bright colors and whimsical decor at Pigtails & Crewcuts’ new Prosper salon, as well as stylists who love working with children and families. The salon also features themed vehicle chairs, as well as books, movies, video games, and a variety of other ways to keep their young customers entertained and happy throughout the haircut. Another highlight of the salon is a retail section filled with children’s hair products, accessories, and gifts.
Knowing that COVID-19 is still a concern for some families, the Moores want to assure customers they are taking the proper precautions to maintain the health and safety of their customers and their team. “All of our staff currently wear masks,” Cindy explains. “We allow parents to make the choice whether they want to wear masks. At Plano, we do occasionally have parents request that they and their children are the only ones in the salon at the time of their haircuts, and we do our best to accommodate that by either placing them on the schedule first thing in the morning or at the very end of the day to help them feel at ease, and we will do the same at Prosper,” she shares.
In addition to cleaning and sanitization standards from the state and the Pigtails & Crewcuts franchise office, Dale adds that they have added additional steps to their cleaning process in order to be very thorough and create a healthy environment.
The new Pigtails & Crewcuts in Prosper is located at 960 S Preston Road, Suite 50, near the Hobby Lobby, HomeGoods, and Michaels. The salon is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sundays from noon to 5:00 pm, and closed on Sundays.
