Pigtails & Crewcuts: Haircuts for Kids is now open in Cypress, Texas. This is the first Pigtails & Crewcuts to open in the Greater Houston area!
Co-owners Cournette and Reginald Hawkins are looking forward to making an impact in their community in hopes of becoming a staple for families in the area. The Cypress children’s salon is located at 25813 US Hwy 290, Suite 27 in Cypress Towne Center, near Target, Best Buy and Starbucks.
Being a town that is showing rapid growth and with a large number of elementary schools in the area, the husband and wife duo felt that this was the perfect opportunity to give back to their community and show representation. “Being minorities, we would like to be a good representation for other communities,” says Cournette. “We also want to focus on the experience [for the family] and provide a safe atmosphere for all people.”
With bright colors and whimsical décor, the Cypress salon creates the perfect kid-friendly atmosphere. In addition to themed vehicle chairs, the salon offers books, movies, video games and various other toys children can enjoy before, during and after their haircuts. The salon also features ear piercings, a retail section filled with children’s hair products, accessories and gifts, and birthday party services with a dedicated party room.
